A household photographs the handwritten parchi it has always written, or says the list out loud, or ticks it off a screen. A shopkeeper in the block market reads it, weighs it out, prices each line and hands it to a driver from the customer's own panchayat.

A cook reaches the households around her

Kitchens in the block sell to the villages near them without a storefront, a delivery fleet, or a commission leaving the district. A menu has prices, so the bill is known before the food is made.

The work stays in the village; only the goods travel

Weavers, potters, wood-carvers and craft businesses get a catalogue, a price they set themselves, and a route to a district that could not previously reach them — and later, to buyers well outside it.

Picked this morning, four kilometres away

Vegetables on a standing subscription from farms in the same block. The grower is named on the delivery, the price is the grower's, and the produce is cut the morning it travels.

The fleet that carries the shopping carries people

A vehicle when it matters — booked ahead, shared on a recurring route, or needed now. The same e-rickshaws that run the deliveries run the trip to the block hospital.
